'Sadly, we had only booked one night. We expected comfort and we expected a fresh and varied breakfast. What we did not expect, was the beautiful and endlessly interesting house. Also the warmth of Noreen and Jean Paul was more than we expected. We would recommend a longer stay, in order to get the most from a great experience'.

We had stayed in some great b&b's in Ireland & further afield, but I have too say the vandees in aghalee was the best..jean Paul & Noreen take a bow.great house, great people & great craic.we loved the being able to leave our car & JP leaving us too the venue & then returning for us .above & beyond, nothing too much trouble for either JP or Noreen .much appreciated guy's..but nothing had prepared us for the sumptuous breakfast, the attention too detail second too none.cereals, yoghurts, fruit juice, fresh fruit salad,sausages/bacon /eggs ,all cooked too perfection , thank you.not forgetting Noreen,s home baked banana bread ,so scrum my..so guys don't just take my word for an amazing stay ,why not give it a go yourselves.the best b&b I've ever stayed in...keep up the great work jean Paul/Noreen....

It has taken me months to tick this off my list of 'things to do' but after the fabulous night we spent at the Vandees in early August this year I knew I was not going to forget to do this. We stayed very early during a 9 week trip to Europe but can say our night with Noreen and JP was definitely a highlight. All the other reviews are totally accurate when it comes to the quality of the accommodation and breakfast we were so fortunate to experience. But what impressed both of us the most was JP's very generous offer to take us to dinner at a local restaurant and to pick us up so we could both have a drink without worrying (or getting lost in the dark!!). We wished we had planned a longer stay (had we known how welcoming Noreen and JP were we would have) and we were both very sad to leave when we had to head to Dublin the next day. I can only hope we will get to return one day and enjoy some good 'craic' as Noreen put it. Thank you so much for your friendly welcome, wonderful stories and super comfortable stay!

We were invited to come and stay at this B&B with an, 'I really hope you like it as much as we did' recommendation. I defy anyone not to love it. The accommodation is top notch and I struggle to find memory of a better B&B that we have stayed in anywhere. Our hosts were what all hosts should be and then some, perfectly willing to go further than that extra mile. The rooms and the breakfast superb. There was nothing to ask for as they had thought of it all. As a result this stay is a bargain. The trip we took was whistle stop to say the least so when we return to Ireland for a slower paced event we would have to make a beeline to the Vandees as we would prefer to stay here and travel to the rest of the island than stay anywhere else. Thank you both for everything. Rather than leaving Ireland and just enjoying our stay, we left feeling like we had made some new friends. See you again.

I am writing this in England, longing to be back in the friendly warmth and amazing hospitality that made my stay in Northern Ireland into a truly special and unforgettable memory. Noreen and JP are truly beautiful people and their home became mine, only better! I wish them well. PS And in the words of Arnie, "I WILL be back!"

Noreen and JP. Many thanks for a wonderful weekend. Your house is great and your welcome and friendliness was superb. It is easily the best B&B that we have stayed in. The breakfast was as good as any 5 Star hotel. But what took us by surprise most was your generosity, patience and willing taxi service. If anybody is ever faced with a choice of where to stay in this part of Northern Ireland then they should look no further than VanDees.

Yes probable the best B&B I have ever stayed in, JP and Noreen are wonderful hosts. The B&B is situated in a beautiful area of Northern Ireland, the house is decorated to the highest standard. My room was spaciause and very comfortable. The breakfast was everything I could wish for, staying at the Vandees was like being at home. My next visit to NI I would only stay with JP and Norren.

We were warmly welcomed by Noreen and Jean Paul (the owners) and Snoopy (the dog). The owners are very friendly and hospitable. We got a very beautiful room with a bathroom. We were there seven days and the breakfast was very varied and delicious. The area and nature is beautiful and very quiet. Noreen and Jean Paul gave us many suggestions to do every day and we have seen much of Northern Ireland. We have a very good holiday and will certainly come back. Noreen and Jean Paul Thank you.

My wife and I discovered this haven by good chance while on a touring holiday of Ireland. We had arrived in Larne from Scotland and just 30 minutes down the road came across the Vandees. We were delighted with the decor and ambience of this beautiful home and felt we were really somewhere quite special. Our hosts, Noreen and Jean-Paul were, warm, welcoming and very approachable. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt instantly relaxed and at home. Indeed, our return trip to Scotland was rescheduled to include an overnight stay with Noreen and Jean-Paul. We can thoroughly recommend The Vandees to future guests.

"A hidden gem.Unique, quirky and probably one of the most hospitable B&B's we have ever stayed in.Breakfast was first class. We'll spread the good news but not too loudly!!Best kept a secret! Thanks.Very memorable"
